Strike it once. Let the noise fall away. Come home to the quiet within.

This is not a decoration, and it is not merely an instrument. It is a doorway to stillness — a small sanctuary of sound you can return to whenever the world grows too loud. Struck once, its voice fills the room; and as that voice fades, it carries you gently back to yourself.

This is a pre-owned sacred object, not a new one — a bowl that has already been played and prayed over in a Himalayan temple. There is only one, and once it has found its keeper, it is gone for good.

A Voice Aged by Time (Hand-Hammered Copper)

For centuries, singing bowls — sometimes called standing bells — have sounded through Himalayan monasteries, marking the beginning and end of silent meditation. This one was shaped entirely by hand, its copper body hammered blow by blow until it could hold a single, pure tone. Time has darkened it to a deep bronze, and across its lower half a mottled, gold-flecked patina has bloomed — the living signature of an old, well-used relic. In the Buddhist tradition its rising tone is believed to awaken the energy of a space and dissolve the noise of a restless mind, opening a path from sound into silence. The more you sit with it, the more its voice becomes your own.

✦ The Sacred Anatomy

Every mark on this bowl was earned, not manufactured.

The Hammered Patina (The Surface): The dappled gold-on-bronze pattern across its body is no factory finish — each fleck is a hammer strike and a season of quiet use, a record of the maker's hand and the hands that came before yours.

The Temple Provenance (The Origin): This bowl was entrusted to us on consignment by a lama from a temple our artisans visit often. Its exact age and origin are undocumented — a relic that had already been played in devotion for years before it reached us, its voice shaped by real use.

The Rising Tone (The Sound): Struck on the rim or circled slowly with the included wooden mallet, it releases a long, resonant note traditionally used to open and close meditation, cleanse a space, or simply anchor a moment of calm.

✦ The Ritual Fit (Specifications)

Condition: Pre-owned / previously used — this is a genuine old ritual object, not a new reproduction. It carries the natural marks of age and handling: surface wear, darkened patina, and small imperfections that are part of its history, not flaws.
Included: The antique bowl, paired with a new wooden mallet — an aged relic and a fresh striker, each in its place.
Materials: Hand-hammered copper (bell-metal), aged antique patina.
Size: Mouth diameter 7 in / 18 cm · Height 2.8 in / 7 cm (a wide, shallow bowl).
Weight: 323 g / 11.4 oz.
Availability: One of a kind — a single, pre-owned bowl, never to be repeated. When it sells, it is gone for good.
Use it: Strike the rim or circle it with the mallet to open and close meditation, cleanse a space, or ground your breath.
Intention: A return to stillness.

Note: As an old, previously used relic, the bowl's precise age and origin are unknown, and its patina, tone, and marks of wear are entirely unique — authentic character no two bowls could share.
